FOR MANAGERS, OWNERS AND DESIGNERS

Building information.
Connected to its location.

We plan to develop iViZ towards connecting BIM models with maintenance documentation and BMS data. The aim is to make operational information easier to find.

PLANNED DEVELOPMENT

Select equipment. Find its context.

An equipment information concept with example data. No BMS connection is active.

AHU-01

Air handling unit

Location
Plant room · roof
Documents to connect
Operating instructions, filter data sheet, commissioning record
Next step
Complete as-built data and identify the responsible service team.

P-02

Circulation pump

Location
Heating plant · level −1
Documents to connect
Equipment data sheet, installation schematic, work history
Next step
Confirm the equipment identifier and the source of inspection information.

DB-01

Distribution board

Location
Electrical room · ground floor
Documents to connect
Circuit diagram, as-built records, inspection reports
Next step
Review documentation completeness with the technical team.

Solutions

The model as an access point to information.

These scenarios describe planned development. They are not a claim of a finished BMS or available integrations.

01

Documentation at the equipment

Planned application: select an element in the model and access its instructions, equipment data sheet and as-built records.

Your benefit

Less searching when preparing maintenance work.

Documentation at the equipment — Illustrative visual
02

Building maintenance history

The planned direction includes linking elements to inspection and work records. Scope depends on the manager's needs and data sources.

Your benefit

Clearer context for the technical team.

03

Future BIM and BMS connections

Installation data could be presented alongside the relevant locations and equipment. Each integration requires a separate system assessment and element identification.

Your benefit

An opportunity to make operational data easier to interpret.

What we can prepare

Discuss your building's needs

Application discussion

Identify the problem worth addressing first.

Model and documentation review

Check currency, element identifiers and available information.

Next-stage plan

Establish requirements and dependencies before defining a future implementation.

FAQ

Before we get started

Does iViZ already offer a finished BMS?

No. This page presents planned development and invites a discussion of your building's needs and data.

Are BIM and BMS the same thing?

BIM describes the building and its elements. BMS concerns supervision of building installations. Connecting them requires integration; a model alone does not provide it.

Can we start with an existing design model?

Yes, with a suitability assessment. The model may need as-built updates and additional operational information.
